Stevie Vincent is literally 20-25 years ahead of the oddsmakers and they will be the first to admit. His forensic sports handicapping is groundbreaking and there is nothing the books have been able to do to stop him.

Royals vs Mariners Baseball Handicapping
Jul 5th, 2010

Courtesy of OddsShark.com:

The fans at Safeco Field will be treated to a game between the Kansas City Royals and the Seattle Mariners when they take their seats on Monday.

The Royals will give the ball to starter Brian Bannister in this one. Righthander Bannister is 7-6 this season with a 5.46 ERA.

Bannister’s opponent in this one will be Felix Hernandez. The Mariners ace righthander has a 3.03 ERA to go along with a 6-5 record this season.

Oddsmakers currently have the Mariners listed as 210-moneyline favorites versus the Royals, while the game’s total has not yet been posted.

The Royals were shut down 11-0 by the Angels last time out, as +155 underdogs. The 11 runs went UNDER the posted over/under (9) set by sportsbooks.

Anthony Lerew gave up six hits and six runs over five innings in the loss.

Casey Kotchman and Russell Branyan launched two-run homers as the Mariners cruised to an 8-1 victory over the Tigers on Sunday. The Mariners won the game as -120 favorites, and the nine runs made it OVER that game’s posted over/under (7.5) set by sportsbooks.

Cliff Lee tossed eight solid innings to get the win, allowing nine hits and one run with 11 strikeouts.

Reds-Mets MLB Baseball Handicapping Pick: Lay the Number Says Bet Expert
Jul 5th, 2010

Matt Rivers, Executive Handicapper at OffshoreInsiders.com has a free winner for Monday on the Mets. They are laying 124 at BetUs to Cincinnati.

Mike Pelfrey has not been as good as the first six or so weeks to the season but I do think he is a little cheap here. I backed the Mets in this exact comp spot yesterday and cashed the ticket and will expect history to repeat itself today.

Aaron Harang is good but nothing more these days and should get outpitched here at Citi Field. The veteran right-hander is a little inconsistent as we see a quality start followed by a poor start.

Professional baseball bettors know that the Mets are a little banged up again with Jose Reyes missing some action but all in all are a good team and are right there in the NL East. Jerry Manual has literally gone from being on a very, very hot seat to the potential Manager of the Year.

The Reds are a good team and I am somewhat sold on them but I’m still not buying into them being Division champion good. Sure Joey Votto is awesome and Bruce, Stubbs, Philips and Rolen are quality bats leading the way but Cincinnati is still not an upper echelon club or as good as these New Yorkers.

I expect Pelfrey to be very good, maybe not great but very good and at home laying only around double juice is a solid value. The Mets have been great at home all season long with Wright, Bay, Francouer and others and at what appears to be a cheapish price I’ll make a small play on Pelfrey and the Amazins.

The pick: NY Mets -124 at SportsBook

For more information: Yup I did it again on Sunday as the 400,000* play on Cliff Lee and the Indians won by a billion! Just look above as I have won 8 of the past 9 days in profiting more than 3.1 million * of profit in the last week plus. The last few months have been golden as has the entire baseball season thus far and nothing at all changes today, nothing!

Three more winners including another Monster 400,000* from the desert between the Cubs and Diamondbacks. Bonus 200,000* Orioles-Tigers and 100,000* Royals and Mariners. 3-0 sweep and more burying of that Crookie? Heck yes! Click now to purchase

MLB Game Preview for July 6, 2010: New York Yankees @ Oakland A’s
Jul 5th, 2010

Baseball fans and sports betting enthusiasts are keeping an eye on MLB betting as the season heads towards the All-Star break. After the All-Star break the college football betting starts to enter the picture, but there are pennant races to decide before that. Some teams like the Oakland A’s are hanging on to their playoff hopes and trying to gain momentum before the break. Other teams like the New York Yankees are division leaders trying to keep their winning attitude intact.

The Oakland A’s are eight games out of first place in the AL West, but they have won seven of their last 10 games. As the first place Texas Rangers continue to struggle, the A’s are hoping to make up some ground before the All-Star break arrives.

The Yankees have been barely holding off the charging Boston Red Sox for the past couple of weeks. New York has a game and a half lead in the AL East, and have won six of their last 10 games including a two game winning streak. Even though the Yankees have been playing tough recently, just like NFL betting the outcomes of the games are determined on the field and not on paper.

C.C. Sabathia is starting for the Yankees in this game, and he brings his 10-3 record and 3.33 ERA to a game where the A’s hitting has seen some success in the past few days. In the last seven days the A’s have a team batting average of .268, 10 doubles and they have scored 28 runs. Oakland has been in the upper half of hitting stats in all of MLB in the last week.

The A’s are putting 22-year old Trevor Cahill on the mound for this game, and Cahill has been a difference-maker this season. In his last nine starts he has held the opposition to a .194 batting average, has a 7-0 record and has posted a 2.12 ERA. For the season Cahill is 8-2 with a 2.74 ERA. He started out a little shaky this season, but he got himself on track quickly and has been an ace for the A’s ever since.

In the month of June the Yankees went 7-4 on the road, including key wins in Toronto and Los Angeles against the Dodgers. The A’s have a winning record at home but a losing record on the road, and their chances of making the playoffs hinge on starting a winning streak at home before the All-Star break.

The Yankees are not exactly rolling with momentum yet, but they are winning key road games as they pull into the mid-season break. The A’s are struggling to win wherever they can, and Cahill could be a booster to the A’s chances of getting into contention for the AL West, or for the AL Wild Card spot. If Sabathia has his best stuff in this game, the A’s may need Cahill to pitch well for seven or eight innings.

Pick: New York Yankees 4-2
