Noted Handicapper Builds on British Open Betting With MLB Free Pick
Jul 18th, 2010

As sports bettors watch British Open live streaming on the Internet, OffshoreInsiders.com Senior Handicapper is releasing a Sunday winner on the Milwaukee Brewers +160 at Atlanta according to SportsBook

I have been very high on the Braves of late and for good reason but I can’t exactly trust Derek Lowe at this high price. The sinkerballer has had a lot of success at times this season but he also is a guy who can implode with the best of them. In other words Lowe is very very feast or famine and of late things have just been too smooth for it to continue this way.

I can’t exactly deem Manny Parra as an overachieving great hurler by any means but the guy is a capable lefty who has solid enough stuff to hold his own. The Brewers have offensive ability helping Parra out with guys like Prince, Braun, Hart and Weeks and if that Lowe sinker is diving there is no reason why the visitors can’t prevail today like in the last pair of games.

The Brew Crew have not had the season they would have liked and the poor record is evidence of just that but the upside is there with these guys and they can without a doubt win this game and take three of the four games in this series. Forget about the record and forget about the recent success of Lowe. Milwaukee is a team that can bash with the best of them and Lowe is a guy who can shrivel up with the best of them.

We may lose this game as Heyward, McCann, Prado, Chipper and the Bravos are superior and deserve to own the best record in the National League with the way they have performed at Turner Field but in the end this dog can not only bark but bite. So sure I’ll back the Brewers.

The pick: Milwaukee +160 at BetUs

For more information: The second half has not started out well and I won’t deny that in the slightest. It’s a constant grind and there are going to be a few day stretches where nothing seems to go right. The trick is though to find the capper that will win consistently over time and I have more than proved that. Now the key is getting back to that form and with a new week here that is exactly what I am going to do.

I’m not going to get anxious and push anything but I do have two winners helping me get back to form. The play of the day comes by the Bay in a 300,000* Mets-Giants and a bonus winner from Minnesota with a 200,000* White Sox-Twins. Click now to purchase

Louis Oosthuizen Tops British Open, Indianapolis Colts, Dallas Cowboys, San Diego Chargers Top Super Bowl Betting Lines
Jul 18th, 2010

South African Louis Oosthuizen appears to be well on his way to his first Major win in the British Open, holding a five-shot lead at press tim.

Peyton Manning and the Indianapolis Colts edge out Philip Rivers and the San Diego Chargers as Super Bowl favorites according to the Vegas odds. Tom Brady and the New England Patriots as well as Drew Brees and the defending Super Bowl Champion New Orleans Saints both trail the Dallas Cowboys and Tony Romo.

Courtesy of OddsShark.com, Today in the Daily Sports Roundup: The Phillies look for a win over the Cubs at Wrigley Field, while the Yankees play host to the Rays, and the Sky pay a visit to the Mystics.

Meeting up on the diamond . . .

Around the American League on Sunday it’ll be Detroit at Cleveland, Texas at Boston, Toronto at Baltimore, the White Sox at Minnesota, Oakland at Kansas City, Seattle at the Angels, and Tampa Bay at the Yankees. David Price (12-4, 2.42 ERA) is scheduled to take on Andy Pettitte (11-2, 2.70 ERA) in that last contest. Lefthander Price beat the Red Sox in his last start before the break, giving up just two runs on eight hits over 7 2-3 innings of work while fanning 10. Lefthander Pettitte also won his final first-half outing, holding the Mariners to just one run on five hits over eight innings of work, fanning nine.

Meanwhile, Sunday’s National League schedule features Washington at Florida, Colorado at Cincinnati, Houston at Pittsburgh, Milwaukee at Atlanta, the Dodgers at St. Louis, Arizona at San Diego, the Mets at San Francisco, and Philadelphia at the Cubs. The Phillies are expected to go with Roy Halladay (10-7, 2.19 ERA) on Sunday, while the Cubs counter with Tom Gorzelanny (4-5, 3.16 ERA). Righthander Halladay had to settle for a no-decision against the Reds in his last outing despite tossing nine scoreless innings and giving up just five hits. Lefthander Gorzelanny beat the Dodgers in his last trip to the mound, surrendering just two runs (one earned) on six hits in his six innings.

Rounding out the Roundup . . .

As well, there are three WNBA games on tap for Sunday, with Los Angeles at San Antonio, Indiana at New York, and Chicago at Washington. The Mystics (12-6 SU, 12-5-1 ATS) had their four-game winning streak snapped on Thursday afternoon with a 75-67 road loss to the Liberty; Crystal Langhorne led the way for Washington in that defeat with 19 points and 10 rebounds. The Mystics also lost to the Sky when those teams last met, falling 79-72 on the road on June 25. Jia Perkins poured in 20 points for Chicago in that day’s win, and Langhorne was good for 25 points and 13 rebounds for Washington.
