It’s the Jets at Miami in the NFL’s
primetime matchup for Monday night. New York was beaten 24-10 by the Saints
last time out, with Mark Sanchez throwing for just 138 yards and getting picked
off three times. The Dolphins had no trouble with the Bills in their last game,
winning 38-10 at home. Chad Henne had one touchdown
strike in that victory, while Ronnie Brown ran for a pair of
touchdowns
Oddsmakers at Bodog have
the Jets (3-1 ATS) listed as 2-point road faves for
Monday’s matchup with the Dolphins (1-3 ATS). The total for the contest is

It’ll be Cliff Lee (7-4, 3.39 ERA) taking the mound for the Phillies on Monday
as they play Game 4 of their NL division series against the Rockies in
Colorado. Lefthander Lee won Game 1 of their series last week, holding Colorado
to one run on six hits over nine innings of work. Ubaldo
Jimenez (15-12, 3.47 ERA) gets the ball for the Rockies
for Monday’s matchup. Righthander Jimenez took the
loss in Game 1 of the series, allowing five runs on nine hits over his five
innings.
Taking a trip around the rink . . .
Finally, there are nine games on the NHL’s schedule for Monday night, including
Colorado at Boston.
The Avalanche fell 4-3 in a shootout to the Blackhawks
on Saturday, with Kyle Quincey chipping in with two
assists in the loss. The Bruins were down 3-0 to the Islanders on Saturday, but
scored three third-period goals and eventually won 4-3 in a shootout. Tuukka Rask stopped 35 shots in
the win.
Elsewhere on the ice: Los Angeles at the Islanders, New Jersey at Washington,
Pittsburgh at Ottawa, Florida at Tampa Bay, Calgary at Chicago, Edmonton at
Nashville, Phoenix at San Jose, and Toronto at the Rangers. The Maple Leafs
remained winless at 0-3-1 with a 5-2 home loss to the Penguins on Saturday
night. Vesa Toskala gave up
five goals on 33 Pittsburgh shots
in Saturday’s loss.
