Georgia vs. GA Tech Spread Pick Hotter than Rachel Uchitel or Elin Nordegren Pics
Nov 28th, 2009

Tiger Woods car accident is grabbing the sports headlines overshadowing that it’s been a great Thanksgiving weekend for the picks of professional sports bettors. From the Blue Moon Café Baltimore to the west coast bookmakers must be feeling like they’ve been tossed off the Grand Canyon skywalk.

Among the handicappers hotter than the Rachel Uchitel or Elin Nordegren pictures is Matt Rivers who says go with Georgia Tech minus the points hosting Georgia. The Yellow Jackets are laying 7.5 at Bodog.

Something inside of me believes this game seems a bit too easy and is making me leery. Georgia should not be able to compete at all today against the smoking hot Yellow jackets from Georgia Tech.

Paul Johnson is an amazing coach and Tech should lace them up and pound their geographical rival from Athens today. Last season the Bulldawgs were the solid 9 or so point chalk and with Matthew Stafford and Knowshon Moreno got embarrassed as Josh Nesbitt, Jonathan Dwyer and the Jackets ran all over the Dawgs in that amazing clinic of a second half.

I really do not know how Mark Richt’s very average team will be able to come into the flats today and show anything at all. Yes I understand this could be a dangerous spot for Tech as the game is fairly meaningless with them possibly looking ahead to playing Clemson in the ACC Championship game but these two teams just do not match up and after 60 minutes it should show in a blowout.

Georgia’s season has spiraled out of control of late as evidenced and climaxed by that poor defeat last week at home against Kentucky. UGA was up 20-6 at the half and pretty much imploded led by Joe Cox and his interception after interception.

Once again star receiver AJ Green will probably miss for the visitors and that does not bode well for their offense at all. You know that Tech will put points on the board in bunches as they have done all season long and against a Willie Martinez defense it would be shocking to see anything south of about 35 today.

Barring a terrible turnover game from Nesbitt and that triple option attack it is going to take a whole heck of a lot for the Dawgs to compete in this thing. This game very easily could get embarrassing but once again, something just seems a bit too easy and in the end I will back Tech but not in a bomb dropping type of a way.
