Free Picks: Magic-Celtics, Wisconsin-Purdue, Loyola Marymount-San Diego
Jan 28th, 2010

The State of the Union for sports bettors could not be stronger. The world’s top sports spread bet picks used by Vegas pro bettors continue to win. We present two of the top betting services with their actual premium picks. The first comes from the all-time winningest sports service GodsTips. They say go with Orlando -3.5 hosting Boston.

Sure Kevin Garnett coming back for Boston is a huge boost, but as demonstrated it will take some time for him to adjust and his teammates. With him back, the C’s got lackluster wins over Portland and the Clippers by a combined nine points. Paul Pierce is back, but again it’s a step back before they take many steps forward when key players are re-inserted into the line-up.

Now they play at one of the top home teams in the NBA. Vince Carter is out of a slump for Orlando and Dwight Howard is averaging 22.4 points per game, 14.6 rebounds and 3.6 blocks in his last five.

Boston is dichotomous spread team. We discount 98 percent of trends, but this has proven to be the exception to the rule. Explained in our articles around the Net, basically if a team has a great SU record but horrid ATS record or visa versa, you ride for that to continue as it is the sign of which teams are most under or overvalued.

They are 29-13 straight up but have lost five straight where it counts and 7-14 the last 21.

Now to the future of sports betting, forensic sports handicapping founder Stevie Vincent. He has a Level 4 pick is on Loyola Marymount over San Diego

Forensic ATS information on this game: San Diego 0-9 this year to teams that force 14 or less turnovers, 2-10 against teams with a losing record, 0-7 after five straight games committing 14 or less turnovers, 1-9 after three straight games with 31 or less offensive rebounds, 1-9 against teams with a losing record. All of those records are against the point spread.

Now to the volcanic ScoresOddsPicks, winners in 16-of-21. They have a winner from the Big 10.

No. 16 Wisconsin at No. 12 Purdue (-9.5) – 7:00 p.m. ET

Wisconsin (16-4, 10-8 ATS) has come out on top in four of its last five games, although the Badgers have covered only twice in their last six games. They’re also only 2-4 against the spread in their last six road games. Defensive is the name of the game in Wisconsin—the Badgers’ “D” ranks seventh in the nation by allowing just 57 points per outing.

Purdue (16-3, 8-10-1 ATS) has managed back-to-back wins after a brutal three game losing streak. The Boilermakers have been miserable on college basketball odds lately, going 1-4 ATS in their last five games. Purdue can’t even defend its home-court particularly well, going 2-5 in its last seven against the point spread at home.

The Boilermakers had beat Wisconsin four straight times SU and ATS before the Badgers notched a 73-66 win at home on January 9. These teams have played very evenly in recent years, so the Badgers’ defense should earn a win.

Pick: Wisconsin

For more information: Wow! It’s now a 16-5 tear for the guys from ScoresOddsPicks including Villanova as the Big East Game of the Year last night. Get all three NBA winners now including the TNT Western Conference Game of the Month.
