Groundhog Day For Sportsbooks: No Profligacy With Sports Betting Picks |
| Feb 1st, 2010 It’s certainly Groundhog Day for the bookmaker as the top betting experts continue to win. Let others sweat UIL realignment, the Terrence Cody weigh in. OffshoreInsiders.com handicapper Matt Rivers says to take Louisville minus the points. His picks have been as pretty as Reserve America and winning at a faster rate than cars on the Maple Grove Raceway. What was the No. 1 song the day you were born? If it’s Matt Rivers, it was the Grammy Awards winner “I’m Winning” and he does not intend on losing again. So if you fell victim to handicappers of profligacy, I have really wavered on this UCONN team and I still feel they have quality players and could right the ship but at this point things are just not right and on the road in Louisville a change today should not be in the cards. Playing Louisville on the road is a tough opponent for a struggling team as Rick Pitino will press and have his boys play with a huge amount of tenacity. I love the way the Cardinals fought in Morgantown the other day after falling behind 11-0 right off the bat and even in a loss should feel alright about themselves today back home in front of their fans. Pitino’s squad has not exactly overachieved this season at 13-8, including losing four of five, but they are still ultra dangerous against a non-confident Huskies squad in this spot. Guys like Samuels, Sosa, Smith, Delk, Knowles and others are very good and at home should be able to pounce on Jim Calhoun (errr Dave Blaney’s) squad. There are more reasons that the winning sports picks will continue. The Cards are a much better team than earlier in the season where they somehow lost at home to both Charlotte and Western Carolina. These guys have just faced a ridiculously tough schedule recently including Villanova as well as road games at West Virginia, Pitt and Seton Hall. When at home these guys generally have performed well and should be alright here, even if they have had a ton of losses of late. UCONN is also 13-8 and have dropped a similar five of seven but it just feels a little different as the Huskies seem more like the program in greater disarray. It did not appear to be that way against Texas, there is no doubt about that, as UCONN played a phenomenal second half en route to the big victory but that was in Storrs and today is completely different in Freedom Hall. Look for the Cards to come out with far more energy and continue the Huskies misery in an 80-71 type of a win. The picks: Louisville. The college basketball odds have the Cardinals laying six. For more information: Matt is on a7-2 overall run and over 1.2 million* of profit the past 16 days. Texas-Oklahoma State is the 300K, plus bonus lock: 100,000* Dallas-Utah. Click now to purchase |
